ILLINOIS INITIATIVE
Serving Central Illinois Since 1991
We will begin serving the 11 central counties currently served by PATH, a nonprofit that has served the needs of the homeless and the elderly for over 20 years.
Beginning in 2014, PATH has agreed to administer the Building Lives independent living program in the Illinois areas that they cover.
Building Lives, through PATH, will provide the following program:
- Job Assistance – Work with local companies to place veterans in jobs that match their skills.
- Placement In a Home – Move veterans off the streets and into their own apartment/home, pay initial rent, rent deposit, and utility deposit.
- Furnish the Home – Provide furniture, kitchen ware, and other household need.
- Guidance – Provide a mentor/resource coordinator to assist the veteran in achieving their goals.
